Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program at University of Toronto

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program, hosted by the University of Toronto, aims to acknowledge outstanding international students who exhibit remarkable academic prowess and creativity, alongside leadership qualities within their educational institutions. Emphasis is placed on their contributions to both their school and community, as well as their potential to positively impact the global community in the future.

Annually, approximately 37 students are honored as Lester B. Pearson Scholars.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions/Duration:

Recipients of this scholarship will receive coverage for tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support throughout their four-year undergraduate studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Pearson International Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
– Be an international student (i.e., requiring a study permit and non-Canadian).
– Currently in the final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2022.
– Commencing studies at the University of Toronto in September 2023 (applicants already attending post-secondary studies are ineligible, as are those starting studies in January 2023 at another post-secondary institution).

To be considered for the Pearson Scholarship, candidates must be nominated by their school and submit an application for undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. Applicants should note the following deadlines:
– School nomination deadline: 30 November 2022.
– Student admissions deadline: 14 December 2022 (applying before 7 November 2022 is recommended).
– Scholarship application deadline: 16 January 2023.
