14-year-old boy killed when he and group of teens were filming a video with a stolen gun

Authorities in Detroit said that a 14-year-old boy was killed when he and a group of teens were filming a video with a stolen gun early Thursday.
Police Assistant Chief Charles Fitzgerald said that 16, 15m and 14 years old were filming “some kind of video using real guns with real bullets” when tragedy struck and “unfortunately, we lost a 14-year-old.”
The teens carried the injured boy downstairs where adults tried to cover up illegal activity before calling 911.
“Lot of stolen goods at this home. There were stolen car fobs. Told by some of the neighbors they were moving some of the stolen cars prior to (our) arrival,” Fitzgerald said.
The 16-year-old boy, who fired the fatal shot, provided investigators with a fake name before taking off while the younger teen was arrested.
Fitzgerald said that the deceased boy was staying at the Detroit home with his mother and a friend since December.
