Neighborhood scuffle ends deadly when teen shoots father dead; injures toddler

A Jefferson County, Alabama father is dead and his toddler son recovering after they were shot by a 19-year-old suspect during a dispute Saturday.
The incident unfolded at around 2 p.m. in the public housing community in the 7800 block of Wisdom Way, authorities said.
Adaryon Coachman was allegedly arguing with the 34-year-old father amid an ongoing dispute when he pulled a gun and repeatedly shot the victim striking his 1-year-old son.
The boy was listed in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds. He is currently in stable condition at Children’s of Alabama.
Coachman was arrested at the scene and charged with capital murder and first-degree assault.
