Ten Hag should not have started the match with Luke Shaw ahead of Tyrell Malacia.

Manchester United lost woefully to Aston Villa in the first half at Villa Park after they conceded two early goals in just under 11 minutes, and all the blames should go to Erik Ten Hag because he made so many mistakes in his choice of starting 11.

Below are the mistakes that Erik Ten made.
1. Erik Ten Hag should not have started the match with Donny Van De Beek ahead of Anthony Elanga as the former showed that he is not yet fit by not making any vital contribution to the progress of the team. He failed to connect well with his teammates.
2. Secondly, he should not have started the match with Alejandro Garnacho ahead of Anthony Martial who would have been very lethal in front of the opponent’s goal post as he has shown on many occasions.
3. Finally, Ten Hag should not have started the match with Luke Shaw ahead of Tyrell Malacia. Shaw failed to deliver the much-needed crosses from the left wing into the box for the attackers to score which Malacia would have easily done.
