Experts discussed what a potential arrest of Donald Trump in New York could look like, following his announcement that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday.

Former prosecutors explained that Trump must be fingerprinted, but that he may not be handcuffed or subjected to a “perp walk” into Manhattan Criminal Court.

It would be up to law enforcement and Trump himself to decide on these aspects. If indicted, Trump would become the first former US president to face criminal charges.

The nature of any prospective charges remains unclear, although reports suggest that Manhattan prosecutors are investigating allegations from seven years ago that Trump paid hush money to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
