Donald Trump selling merch with fake mug shot

Former US President Donald Trump has begun selling merchandise featuring a fake mug shot, since a real one was not taken during his recent arraignment at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse.

Trump was charged with making hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

His legal troubles, media spectacle, and porn-star-hush-money salaciousness have become another chapter in the New York tycoon’s contentious career.

Unlike his bankrupted casinos or failed marriages, many of Trump’s supporters and critics believe that the fate of American democracy rests on his shoulders, as he increasingly conflates legal woes with an effort to deny him the power to return to office.

Security was tight in and around the courthouse during his arraignment, and authorities were prepared for protests, following the failures of the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot.

The fake mugshot merchandise adds to Trump’s controversial reputation, while his legal battles continue to stir debates and allegations of corrupt practices in American politics.
