Former Servite coach Troy Thomas: ‘I’m retired’

Troy Thomas, the former head football coach at Servite, Crespi and Westlake High Schools, has retired from coaching after 30 years and is now focusing on his family and his new job. Thomas recently joined a healthcare company that helps chronically ill patients with meals and says he is enjoying his new job and feels like he can make a difference in people’s lives.
Thomas has reunited with his wife, Stacey, and is now spending more time with her and his two children, Maddox and Harlee. Maddox is a freshman football player at Huntington Beach Edison, playing for former Edison coach Dave White. Thomas has thanked White for his team’s loss to Servite in the 2009 Division 1 championship game.
When asked if he will coach again, Thomas said he trains for more than wins and it may be time to move in a different direction. He is still very passionate about football and will forever be a “charger”, but for now he is content with his new role in life.
