Her twins died shortly after birth, 3 months later ‘her doctor would give her news that would change her life forever’!

When the 33-year-old mother Angel and her partner Nick discovered that they were expecting twins, their joy doubled.

Unfortunately, she went into premature labor at 23 weeks and gave birth to a boy and a girl weighing 1lb 2oz each. The babies were born crying and breathing, giving a flicker of hope to the parents on their chances of survival.

However, their world came crashing down when their newborn son Blake died within an hour of birth. With a heavy heart, they took their daughter Annabelle home after she showed good progress.

Unexpectedly, Annabelle developed a hole in her bowel and had to be rushed to the hospital for a surgery. While the doctors put her on life support and confirmed that she wasn’t going to last a night, the parents didn’t deter from their faith. All the while she took her last breaths, the parents held their four-day-old little one in their arms and watched her pass away to join her brother in heaven.

Angel and Nick were left devastated. But, God has his own ways of blessing his followers. In an unbelievable twist of destiny, three months after the death of Blake and Annabelle, the couple discovered that they were again expecting twins and that too another set of a boy and a girl.

While their happiness knew no bounds, they were scared. In an interview, Angel said, “It felt like groundhog day – as if we would be going through the same thing over and over again. It was really scary that second time. The first time around was fun and exciting, but the second time everyone fell silent when they told us.”

The couple welcomed twins Ava and Mason at 35 weeks. As a tribute to their first twins, the parents gave their middle names to their newborn twins. They even took Ava Annabelle and Mason Blake to their siblings’ grave as soon as they left the hospital.

Today, the babies are growing up healthy and happy like any other children of their age. Angel and Nick are music teachers by profession. In order the express their gratitude to the hospital where the twins were delivered, both are now hosting a charity night to raise funds for their neonatal unit.
