Kim Glass, popular Olympic medal-winning volleyball player took to her Instagram story to narrates how she escaped being blinded by a Homeless man who attacked her.
The incident happened in Los Angeles, California, United States. According to Her, the homeless man attacked her with a metal pipe.
Kim Glass said that people held the man down until police arrived. That was after He had flung a large metal bolt at her face.
“As I turned to tell my friend, ‘I think something’s wrong with him and I think he’s going to hit the car’ — before I knew it, a big metal bolt-like pipe hit me,” she said.
“It happened so fast. He literally flung it from the street,” said the retired volleyball player, who won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics as a part of Team USA.
“It kinda took me down and out,” she added, detailing how other people nearby “got him and held him down until the cops came.”
In the video carefully monitored by BuzzShade, Kim Glass, 37, was seen sporting a swollen black eye. Her nose was also bruised as she narrates the dangerous encounter.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Good Day LA that the homeless man (suspect) whose name is yet to be available to the public has been arrested.
He is currently in Police net as of Monday afternoon.
