Houston police searching for 2 suspects in connection to deadly West T.C. Jester shooting

The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two individuals who have been charged with capital murder in connection to a January shooting on West T.C. Jester Boulevard. Polie Phan and Jaidan Vu Nguyen are wanted for their involvement in the death of Dana Ryssdal, 35, who was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers responding to a check welfare call at James Gerald Martin III’s home found that Martin and a 2022 white Dodge truck owned by Ryssdal were missing. The truck was later found abandoned off the roadway in the 6900 block of Cullen Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered another vehicle at the home on T.C. Jester Boulevard. Martin’s body was found inside, and he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Three suspects have been identified in the case: Phan, Nguyen, and 23-year-old Kathy Vu. Kathy Vu was charged for her role, and she was arrested without incident. However, authorities are still searching for both Phan and Nguyen.

If you have any information that could lead to their capture, the Houston Police Department Homicide Division encourages you to contact them immediately. Otherwise, you may choose to speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.

Let’s work together to bring justice for the victim and peace of mind for their loved ones.
