Janet Jackson Kicks Off 2023 Hollywood Bowl Season with Ludacris and Los Angeles Youth Orchestra

The Hollywood Bowl is set to kick off its 2023 season with a bang, as Janet Jackson will take the stage for the opening night of the legendary venue’s lineup. On June 10th, she will be joined by Ludacris and members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s own Los Angeles Youth Orchestra, making the evening a prime example of what the Hollywood Bowl does best – bringing fans of all ages and walks of life together.

The 2023 season will also feature performances from the likes of Culture Club, The Beach Boys, Kool and the Gang, They Might be Giants, Air Supply, Rubén Blades, Jill Scott, Louis Tomlinson, Maggie Rogers, and Michael Bolton. In addition, there will be a 90th Birthday tribute to Quincy Jones with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and Jones’ collaborator and conductor Jules Buckley.

The Hollywood Bowl is also aiming to attract a diverse audience and artists, and has amassed more than 30 Bowl debuts, including LA native conductor Ryan Bancroft, pianist Bruce Liu, Japanese composer and conductor Joe Hisaishi, Digable Planets and Portugal. The Man.

In addition to the musical performances, the Hollywood Bowl will also be offering unique film screenings with live music, including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. There will also be a two-day event paying tribute to classic films from Walt Disney Animation Studio, old and new, including Snow White and Frozen.
