Popular Georgia hitmaker, Latto speaks on Overturn of Roe v. Wade in her new song. When she used footage from Roe v. Wade protests in her snippet people blast her saying she is using the abortion debate for profit.
As she tweeted the lyrics to the song with a video teaser of the track showing women protesting. One person replied, “Using serious issues to promote your song is wild.” Latto quickly replied, “Orrrr, I took my frustrations to the booth like a RAPPER & used my platform to spread awareness.”
Another person tweeted, “The point is you’re using it to profit. A real woman would use their power to change something, not to chart on the bubbling under.”
She added that: “Y’all complain about female rap lacking substance but then say I’m ‘capitalizing’ when I speak on sh*t [emojis] help me understand???”
On the track, Latto spits bars about women’s bodies not being owned by men and seems to fire a few shots at her haters.
“Y’all sexualize lesbians but y’all entertain me / They engage and then gossip live from they mama basement,”
Latto also speaks on gender roles, monogamy, and men who defend abusers.
