Mattress Mack provides way for families of Houston Cougars to attend NCAA tournament

Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is currently showing his support for the University of Houston at the NCAA Tournament in Birmingham.
Through his Name, Image and Likeness agreement with the players via Gallery Furniture, McIngvale has made a significant impact on their families.
This NIL agreement was facilitated through LinkingCoogs, an NIL collective for UH Cougars athletes. The players are able to access funds through the NIL, which they can use to help pay for their family’s attendance at the NCAA Tournament in Birmingham.
McIngvale has received notes from the players thanking him for using the NIL funds to bring their parents to the game.
Families expressed their gratitude at the game, saying that it was a “blessing” and thanking McIngvale for his generosity. The Houston Cougars won their game against Northern Kentucky 63-52 on Thursday night.
