Nothing is more thrilling and rewarding for a couple than the arrival of a bundle of joy who will brighten all of their tomorrows.

Sara Heller and her husband were overjoyed when they found they were expecting a child. They were overjoyed to have the tiny wonder in their lives. When Sara was only 24 weeks pregnant, however, the doctors informed her that her kid would be born with a facial deformity. That broke the hearts of the soon-to-be parents, but it didn’t change their feelings for their child.

They were prepared to do everything in their ability to show him all of the love, affection, and support he deserved. Brody has a bilateral cleft lip and palate, according to the ultrasound. The top jaw bones of the fetus join together during the first 6 to 10 weeks of pregnancy to form the roof of the mouth and the upper lip. A cleft palate occurs when the tissue does not fuse.

This syndrome frequently causes various health problems in the newborn, despite the fact that it is now treatable without harming the quality of life.

The couple was adamant about keeping the child no matter what. They adored tiny Brody, despite the fact that they had no idea how he would seem once he was born.

They were prepared to go to any length to ensure that he had all of the care he required. The one certainty was that he would be the most adored baby ever, surrounded by a mother and father who would never abandon him.

Sara, Brody’s mother, said:

“It’s fine to be proud of your child under all circumstances.” We wanted to update the look of our ultrasound/newborn/first year images on Facebook/Instagram. “We wanted to raise awareness of cleft lips and palates,” said the group.

They were aware that if the problem wasn’t surgically corrected, the infant might have difficulty breathing, eating, drinking, and even talking.

Sara and Chris were proud of their child and published images of him on social media to show that being different isn’t that awful and that we should accept one other regardless of our physical looks. Fortunately, the majority of those that saw Brody reacted positively. There were many who wanted to know what was wrong with the baby’s face, of course.

Sara was not irritated when strangers approached her and inquired about her son’s deformities; on the contrary, she was pleased to be able to educate them on the condition.

She stated:

“Rather than provoking a confrontation, I chose to teach since it is what I want Brody to do in the future.” I’d like him to educate and advocate for younger cleft children who don’t yet have a voice.”

The waiter approached Sara and handed her a folded piece of paper one night when they were eating supper at a restaurant. She couldn’t hold back her tears when she opened it. There was a $1000 cheque and a note that said, “For the lovely baby.” This was done by a complete stranger, according to Sara, and it restored their trust in humanity.

When the time came for the lovely Brody to have surgery, they used the funds to help defray some of the costs.

The procedure went smoothly, and baby Brody recovered quickly. He will require more surgery in the future, but his parents are pleased with his progress.

Sara expressed herself as follows:

“This experience has demonstrated the strength of the cleft community.” People from all throughout the country have contacted us. They are praying for us and asking that we contact them if we have any needs.”

This is how stunning Brody is right now. He’s a wonderful beauty, and his parents are glad they chose to retain him while everyone else thought he should be aborted.
