Road-rage feud in Brooklyn turns fatal when man punches another’s face, knocking him to ground

A Brooklyn road rage incident ended with the death of a 56-year-old who was fatally punched and knocked to the ground.
Dexter Alexander, 31, allegedly struck the victim’s face during their scuffle at the intersection of Schenectady Avenue and East New York Avenue in Crown Heights shortly before 11:30 a.m. on June 8.
The punch caused the older man to fall and hit his head. He remained hospitalized for the head injury until Friday when he succumbed.
Following the unidentified victim’s death, the city Medical Examiner ruled the incident a homicide.
Alexander was subsequently arrested on Monday and charged with assault.
