What could have made this Pastor shoots wife, self in attempted murder-suicide?
A young Louisiana pastor is accused of attempting a murder-suicide in front of small children earlier this week.
Officers with the McComb Police Department responded to a Hampton Inn hotel at around 3:30 p.m. over reports of a shooting.
Danny Prenell Jr., 25, and his wife Gabby Prenell were suffering gunshot wounds and were taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in unknown condition.
The couple’s three children were reportedly present at the scene but unharmed. They are currently in the custody of child protective services.
Prenell was identified as the lead pastor at Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville.
Authorities believe that he shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. Before that, he posted on Facebook:
“I may not be a perfect man, but I’ll always be a family man.”
