Will the GOP Expunge Trump’s Impeachments? Greene’s Call Out Could Be a Sign of Things to Come

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling out her fellow Republicans for not supporting her effort to expunge former President Donald Trump’s impeachments from history.
Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling out several of her colleagues for not supporting her effort to expunge former President Donald Trump’s impeachments from history.
Greene and New York Representative Elise Stefanik introduced resolutions last month to expunge Trump’s impeachments, which were both acquitted by the Senate. Greene has accused some Republicans of being “problem Republicans” for not supporting the resolutions.
“If they can’t go back to their district and explain to their district that they voted to expunge a fake impeachment, two fake impeachments, that were all political, then why would they serve in Congress?” Greene said.

Democratic Representative Ted Lieu blasted Greene and Stefanik’s efforts, saying that there is no such thing as an “expungement of an impeachment.”
“This is just more stupid stuff from a radical Republican Caucus,” Lieu said. “This is totally a made-up process. It’s nothing more than a glorified press release with a fake vote.”
