Alert discontinued for missing 2-year-old last seen in Royse City, TX

After an Amber Alert was issued for 2-year-old Jordan Sangbong, the police department in Royse City, Texas announced that the alert has been discontinued because the child has been safely returned. The father, Daddy Sangbong, was taken into custody by the police after an attorney working with him contacted the police department and agreed to turn him in. The child was unharmed and turned over to Child Protective Services.

Before the alert was discontinued, authorities were on the lookout for Jordan, who was last seen on the 300 block of Mohan Drive on Wednesday night. The child is described as a Black male, 2’9″ tall, 38 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Authorities were also searching for 37-year-old Daddy in connection with Jordan’s disappearance. He is a Black male, 5’10” tall, 210 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, last seen wearing all black clothing.

The Royse City Police Department said officers and Child Protective Services were investigating an allegation that Daddy had physically assaulted his other child, a 6-year-old boy. During the investigation, the 6-year-old was taken into protective custody, and CPS made the decision to remove Jordan from the home as well. However, before they arrived to take Jordan, the father fled with the child. The whereabouts of the father and son remained unknown until the father was taken into custody and Jordan was returned safely.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Jordan or Daddy, they are urged to contact the Royse City Police Department immediately. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of being vigilant and reporting any suspicious or concerning behavior that could put children at risk. It also highlights the crucial role that Amber Alerts play in reuniting missing children with their families, giving hope to those who fear that they may never see their loved ones again.
