Apartment fire in north Houston, 20 people now without home

The Houston Fire Department is working to determine the cause of a fire at an apartment complex in North Houston.
The fire, which occurred at The Landings at Northpoint apartments on Northpoint Drive at 10:49 p.m., affected 12 units and resulted in the displacement of 20 residents.
It is unclear whether the fire was a result of arson; HFD is still investigating. The Red Cross is providing assistance to those affected by the fire.
A resident expressed sadness about the displacement of their neighbors.
