Mother charged after pit bull puppy bites off baby’s fingers while she took a shower
A Florida mother was charged in connection with a February incident that caused her baby to lose several fingers during a dog attack.
Chloe Wisniewski, 21, was hit with neglect charges after she allegedly left her baby daughter unattended and went to take a shower on February 14.
Wisniewski told detectives that she felt ill and went to the bathroom but returned when she heard her baby crying and screaming.
The mother found her pit bull puppy chewing on the infant’s hand. She wrapped her daughter’s injured hand in a cloth and called the police.
Following the tragic incident, the baby lost three fingers of her left hand. Two fingers were partially amputated on her right hand.
