The Devastating Reason Why An Animal Shelter’s Director Has Commited Suicide
Heading into the medical field isn’t easy as everyone thinks. It is tedious, difficult and requires passion. They would need years of practice and experience to try their best to help those in need. Dr. Jian Zhicheng was one such example.

She was the director and a veterinary doctor at the Xinwu Animal Protection and Education Centre in Taiwan. Unfortunately, the shelter had a problem of being overcrowded with animals.

Even though Jian had tried her best to rehome them, her efforts were not enough. When the shelter did not have enough space, the animals had to be euthanized.

Animal rights activists started to call Jian horrible names such as ‘a butcher with beauty’.

However, Jian did not have a choice. The shelter had a tight budget and they needed it to provide the shelter animals a reasonable quality of life.

Eventually overwhelmed with sadness and frustration, Jian sadly took her own life.
